Garlic Butter Pork Steak Bites

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 500 g boneless Ontario pork loin chops (about 3/4 inch/2cm thick)
  • 1/2 tsp 2 mL salt
  • 1/4 tsp 1 mL cayenne
  • 2 tbsp 30 mL canola or vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp 45 mL butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp 15 mL Italian seasoning
  • 3 tbsp 45 mL chopped fresh basil

Instructions
 

  • Pat pork chops with paper towel. Cut pork chops into bite size pieces and toss with salt and cayenne.
  • In a skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Brown pork chop bites all over for about 5 minutes or until golden. Remove to paper towel lined plate. Reduce heat to medium and add butter.
  • Stir in garlic and Italian seasoning; cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add pork bites and toss well to coat and cook, stirring about 1 minute or until hint of pink remains. Sprinkle with basil to serve.
